Cambridge Year 7 session today: Volume of compound 3D shapes!

The method that works every time:
➡️ Split the shape into simple cuboids
➡️ V = l × w × h for each part
➡️ Add the volumes together ✅

Shape a: 336 + 450 = 786 m³
Shape b: 420 + 162 = 582 mm³

Once students see the strategy — compound shapes become easy marks! 💡
