Landowner demands action against District Health Officer (DHO) Hunza, accusing him of being physically and verbally abusive

A resident of Chipursan Valley, Sub-Division Gojal – Hunza, has sought action against the DHO of Hunza for allegedly misbehaving with him and throwing him out of his office.

In an application submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of Hunza, the landowner, Zafar Iqbal, a resident of Kirmin village, has said that he has not been paid for several years in lieu of his land which has been acquired by the government for construction of a 10-bed hospital.

According to the application, when the landowner went to the DHO’s office, he was insulted and physically thrown out of the office, instead of addressing his concerns.

The complainant has also alleged that the DHO use derogatory words for the residents of Hunza.
