A modern barndominium (Gillbee House) designed for a client in Australia 🇦🇺.
This project blends contemporary minimalism with rustic barn-inspired architecture, creating a clean yet warm living environment. The design features a series of pitched roof forms that not only enhance the visual character but also improve ventilation and spatial volume inside.
The façade is defined by a balanced combination of smooth plastered walls and natural timber elements, giving it a timeless and elegant appeal. The extended front veranda with exposed wooden framing adds depth, shading, and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces—perfect for the Australian lifestyle.
Large windows are strategically placed to maximize natural light while maintaining privacy, and the landscape design complements the structure with soft greenery and organic textures.
