The 77th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Govt. Girls High School No.2, Gilgit. The Principals and teachers of Girls Higher Secondary School No.1 Gilgit and Girls Model Higher Secondary School Kashrote Gilgit along with students participated in the program who showcased their talent and patriotism through various performances. The event was graced by notable dignitaries including Mr. Faizullah Khan Lone, Director General Schools, Syed Nabi Shah, Director Education Gilgit, Mr. Abdul Wahab Mir, Deputy Director of Education (DDE) Gilgit, and Mr. Sharafat Hussain, District Inspector of Schools (DIS) Gilgit, Mrs. Parveen, DIS (Female) and Mr. Ali Haider, Dy. DEO. A team from Board of Elementary Examination, GB including Mrs. Zareen Taj, DD Secrecy, and Mrs. Afshan Nasir also graced the event.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by the DDO of Govt. Girls High School No.2, followed by a series of engaging performances by students, including tableaus, Milli Nagmas, and speeches exhibiting their love for the country.
Mr. Faizullah Khan Lone, addressed the gathering and emphasized the significance of Education in Nation building. He encouraged the students to work hard and contribute to the development of Pakistan. Mr. Syed Nabi Shah highlighted the responsibilities that come with freedom and the critical role of education in empowering the youth to contribute to nation-building.
The closing speech was delivered by Mr. Sharafat Hussain, praising the organizers and emphasizing the importance of inculcating patriotism in the younger generation.
The Program concluded with the singing of national anthem. The event served as a reminder of our national identity and significance of Independence Day.
