چترال کے لوگ اپنی مہمان نوازی، دیانت داری اور خوش اخلاقی کے لیے دور دور تک جانے جاتے ہیں۔
چترال بازار میں ایک مقامی سیاح کا پرس کہیں گم ہو گیا جس میں نقد رقم، اے ٹی ایم کارڈز اور شناختی کارڈ موجود تھے۔ پریشانی کی اس حالت میں وہ اپنے قیمتی سامان سے محروم ہو گئے تھے۔ اسی دوران ایک چترالی بھائی کو وہ پرس ملا۔ اس نے دیانت داری اور احساس ذمہ داری کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے پرس میں موجود شناختی کارڈ کے ذریعے مالک کو تلاش کیا۔
یہ واقعہ ایک بار پھر اس بات کی خوبصورت مثال ہے کہ چترال کے لوگ نہ صرف مہمان نواز ہیں بلکہ امانت داری اور اعلیٰ اخلاقی اقدار میں بھی اپنی مثال آپ ہیں۔

Late Wali Ur Rahman was born in Mashkilli Koghuzi and was widely respected as a lawyer, an educationist and passionate polo player of Chitral. He completed his BA from Government College Peshawar and later earned his LLB with distinction from Khyber Law College Peshawar.
He served as Additional & Sessions Judge in Chitral before beginning his practice as an advocate. He was the one of the pioneer members of the District Bar Association Chitral. Notably, he also played a vital role along with Nasir Ahmad and Pahalwan Bahadur and approached the then DC Chitral Mr. Javed Majeed in the establishment of Sayurj Public School & College Chitral in 1988 which now known as The Langlands School.
A well-read, cultured and visionary personality; he was also a skilled polo player and strategist for the Chitral polo team. The lifelong passion for polo remained with him until his final moments as he passed away on November 9, 2001 while playing the game he deeply loved and leaving behind a lasting legacy of service, knowledge and inspiration.
