Ever wondered if you can shoot clean product photos without a huge studio setup?

Recently I ran a small photography experiment at home — shooting a watch at f/22 using a simple tabletop setup. No fancy studio. Just a folding table, a paper backdrop, two lights… and a bottle cap hidden behind the cushion to adjust the angle. 😅

Sometimes the simplest setups teach you the most about light, reflections, and how small adjustments can change the entire shot.

If you're curious how the experiment went (and why my mentor insists on shooting watches at f/22), I wrote about the full process in our latest blog post.

Sometimes it’s not about doing more.

I’ve seen how small business owners juggle everything — operations, marketing, customer messages, suppliers, inventory — all at the same time. When you’re inside it every day, it’s hard to see where the gaps are.

That’s why we created the Online Business Visibility Health Check.

Not to rebuild your entire website and add more to your plate. But to help you step back and see your platforms clearly, and receive a structured, practical plan to strengthen what’s already there.

If you’ve been getting views but not enough inquiries, it might not be effort that’s missing. It might just be perspective.

Four years ago, we organized a small free pet shoot for friends — four humans, LOTS of dogs, one chaotic but very happy afternoon.

It wasn’t a client project.
Just something we wanted to create.

A friend suggested uploading the photos to Unsplash, so we did… and eventually forgot about them.

Just today, one of those images appeared in an ABS-CBN News feature. (Special mention to Miss Annie Ong for sharing the link. Hugs & kisses to Calvin for me. 🧡)

No pitching. No outreach.
Just a photo quietly doing its job.

It’s a good reminder that creative work compounds.
When you focus on quality and intention, your outputs can travel further — and longer — than you expect.

Some seeds just take time. 🌱

Happy Welsh Corgi Day! 🐕🧡

Cancer is never just a diagnosis.
It’s a deeply human experience that reshapes families, relationships, and entire lives. 🤍

In Person First, Cancer Second, we explore how compassion, dignity, and community support must stand alongside medical care.

This piece carries both professional insight and lived experience. It was shaped by conversations with medical and advocacy leaders — and by the personal stories of those who have walked this journey with their own families.

Because before the diagnosis, there is always a person.

If you are able, we also encourage you to support initiatives that strengthen cancer care systems in the Philippines. Learn more about PSC CanCom’s programs here:

Small things can quietly affect your online visibility.

It's not your pricing. It's not your effort nor your product quality. Sometimes, it's not even marketing.

Simple details like:
• Outdated business information
• A broken link
• Different brand names across platforms

These don’t feel urgent, but they affect trust and trust affects inquiries.

Sometimes you don’t need a full rebuild.
You just need clarity.

If you’d like us to take a look at yours, drop us a message or check out https://looseleafstudio.net/products/online-business-visibility-health-check to know more.

Every Filipino Counts. 💜

We’re on the ground at the 2026 Philippine National Cancer Summit—where conversations turn into collaboration, and collaboration into real change for patients and families.

It’s always meaningful to see ideas move from vision… to visuals… to a room full of people aligned around one purpose.

Grateful to be part of the systems, stories, and materials that help bring initiatives like this to life.

Better cancer care doesn’t happen by chance—it happens when communities come together. 💜

Over the past years, the Philippine National Cancer Summit has brought together leaders, advocates, professionals, and institutions to push cancer care forward—shaping policies, strengthening partnerships, and centering the voices that matter most.

In 2026, we move further.

The PCS Cancer Commission Foundation (PCS CanCom) invites changemakers across government, healthcare, civil society, patient groups, academe, the private sector, and advocacy communities to be part of a growing cancer care community committed to real, lasting impact.

This is where conversations turn into collaboration—and collaboration into real change for patients, families, and survivors.

Let’s move from intention to action, ensuring that every Filipino affected by cancer is seen, heard, and supported.
