The Active Citizenship Foundation successfully sponsored a two-day National Workshop for a Common Green Agenda, held on September 19–20, 2025, at Privato Hotel, Quezon City. The event gathered key leaders, advocates, and members of the National Executive Committee of the Green Political Party of the Philippines to collectively discuss and align priorities for a unified sustainable development agenda.

The workshop served as a platform for constructive dialogue on pressing environmental and social issues affecting the Philippines. Topics included the urgent need for climate action, renewable energy adoption, ecological governance, sustainable urban development, and inclusive participation in policy-making. Delegates highlighted the importance of building community-based solutions and strengthening grassroots initiatives as vital components of a nationwide green movement.

One of the workshop’s central goals was to consolidate diverse perspectives into a Common Green Agenda, a guiding framework that will serve as the party’s policy roadmap in advancing ecological balance, social justice, and participatory democracy. Through intensive group discussions and strategic planning sessions, participants developed actionable proposals aimed at addressing the impacts of climate change, environmental degradation, and socio-economic inequality.

The event also underscored the commitment of the Green Political Party to collaborate with civil society organizations, youth groups, and local communities in order to broaden public awareness and engagement. The Active Citizenship Foundation emphasized that fostering an inclusive dialogue between citizens and policymakers is essential in ensuring long-term sustainability and accountability.

As the workshop concluded, participants reaffirmed their dedication to pushing for progressive green policies and uniting efforts under a shared vision for a more sustainable and equitable Philippines. The outcomes of the two-day event are expected to lay the groundwork for future campaigns and advocacy efforts across the country.
