Tuberculosis (TB) is a preventable and curable disease; however, it remains as one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, threatening public health. Statistically, the Philippines accounted for 6.8 percent of the 10.7 million TB cases globally in 2024, earning its rank as third among the eight highest TB-burden countries.

On March 24, we celebrate the annual 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐁 𝐃𝐚𝐲 to raise awareness on the health and economic concerns of the communicable disease. With the theme, “𝒀𝒆𝒔! 𝑾𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝑩!,” we invite every individual to join our call on putting a stop to the spread of TB.

This is not just a battle to prevent disease, but also a fight to prolong life and promote health.
