The kitten surge in Bridgetowne is real.

In the past few weeks alone, more and more kittens have been abandoned in the area. Some were dumped without their mothers. Others were born to community cats that have not yet been spayed or neutered.

Every week, we find ourselves trying to stretch limited resources to make sure they survive.

We want to be transparent for the nth time: Cats of Bridgetowne is not a shelter and not a rescue organization. We are simply employees and volunteers who care.

Thankfully, we still have a small group of loyal pledgers who continue to support our efforts. To those who have stayed with us despite everything, thank you. Unfortunately, many who initially promised support have disappeared over time.

The reality is that any expense beyond what we receive from donations and pledges comes directly from our own pockets.

We cannot keep responding to an endless stream of kittens while the root cause remains unaddressed.

The solution is prevention.

If you want to help create lasting change, please support our Kapon Drive. Every cat spayed or neutered means fewer kittens left hungry, sick, abandoned, or struggling to survive on the streets.

Send us a message if you would like to pledge, sponsor a kapon, or help in any way.

We cannot rescue our way out of this problem.

We need to prevent it.

🐾 CALL FOR KAPON SPONSORS 🐾

While we continue to care for the Cats of Bridgetowne every day, one of our biggest challenges remains the growing number of cats that have yet to be kapon.

At the moment, we still have 20+ community cats waiting for their turn.

This month, we’re hoping to send 15 cats for TNVR, with a total project cost of ₱26,500. This includes:
• Catching
• Anti-rabies vaccination
• Antibiotics
• Food and shelter during recovery
• Safe return and release

Every cat that gets kapon helps prevent countless future litters from being born on the streets. It is the most effective and humane way to manage our community cat population.

The reality is that feeding alone is not enough. To create a sustainable future for our cats, we need to continue our kapon efforts.

If you’d like to sponsor a cat, share part of the cost, or contribute any amount, we’d be incredibly grateful. ❤️

Together, let’s give more Bridgetowne cats the chance to live healthier, safer lives.
