🎙️ REAL TALK SERIES – EPISODE 29: Closure Is a Myth (and That’s Okay)

We all chase it... that perfect ending. The heart-to-heart talk, the text that explains everything, the final goodbye that’s supposed to make it all make sense. We want closure like it’s the missing puzzle piece to our peace.

But here’s the thing:
Sometimes, closure never comes. Sometimes people leave mid-sentence, friendships fade without warning, or relationships end without the “why” you deserve. And that’s not because you did something wrong, it’s because life rarely gives us tidy endings.

Movies lie.
They make us believe closure comes with dramatic music and mutual understanding.
In real life, it’s just silence, and your brain replaying old conversations like a broken cassette.

The truth is, closure isn’t something someone gives you.
It’s something you create.
It’s the moment you stop needing answers from someone who already showed you their truth.
It’s when you decide to stop rewriting the story and start healing from it.

Closure is realizing that you might never know why they changed, or why it ended, or why you weren’t chosen, and still being okay anyway.
It’s when you wake up one day and their name doesn’t sting the way it used to.
That’s not magic. That’s growth.

So if you’re still waiting for that “final talk,” here’s your permission to stop.
You don’t need their apology to move on.
You don’t need their explanation to let go.
You just need to choose peace, again and again...until it sticks.

Because sometimes the real closure is accepting there isn’t one.
And somehow, that’s the most freeing kind of ending there is.

🎙️ REAL TALK SERIES – EPISODE 28: Success, Para Ba Gyud Ni Sa Tanan, or Just Rebranded Survival?

We’re told: “Aim for success, work hard, be great.” Pero real talk, unsa man jud ang success?

đź’¸ The Illusion of Success
For some, it’s cars, houses, promotions. For others, it’s just being able to put food on the table. Sometimes, what society calls success is really just people surviving in style.

Success doesn’t need to look like a magazine cover. If you can sleep at night with peace of mind, if you’re living with dignity, if you’re growing at your own pace, that’s already success.

Ask yourself: “Am I chasing my dream, or someone else’s definition of success?” The real victory is owning your journey and defining your own version of fulfillment.

Stop letting others define it for you. Maybe success isn’t for “everyone” because not everyone is chasing the same dream. And that’s perfectly okay.

🎙️ REAL TALK SERIES – EPISODE 25: Unsay Mas Lisod: Letting Go of a Person or Letting Go of Pride?

We always hear, “Lisod kaayo mag-let go sa taong imong gihigugma.” Pero let’s flip it, sometimes, letting go of our own pride is even harder.

When Pride Gets in the Way
- You’d rather stay angry than say sorry.
- You’d rather lose someone than admit you were wrong.
- You’d rather suffer in silence than admit you need help.

âś… Why Humility Matters

Being humble doesn’t mean you’re weak. It means you value peace more than being “right.” Sometimes, saying “I’m sorry” or “I was wrong” saves a relationship that pride would have destroyed.

Ask yourself: “Is my ego worth more than the relationships I value?” Growth happens when we choose love and connection over winning every argument.

Both are hard. But if you don’t let go of pride, you’ll eventually be forced to let go of people. Choose wisely.
