The 𝗘𝗗𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 1986 was a defining moment in Philippine history, a peaceful uprising that ended 21 years of dictatorship under 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗼𝘀 𝗦𝗿. and restored democracy. Millions of Filipinos—students, religious leaders, activists, professionals, and even soldiers—gathered along 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝗳𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 (𝗘𝗗𝗦𝗔) to demand change. Their resistance, armed with prayers, flowers, and sheer courage, led to Marcos’s ouster and the rise of 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 as president.
In line with this, we strongly call for the suspension of classes to honor and remember the bravery and sacrifices of our fallen heroes — a moment not just to rest, but to reflect on the freedom they fought for.
