DepEd just released Memorandum DM-OUOPS-2026-06-1660, reminding everyone about the safe and responsible use of gadgets and the internet.

Here is a quick, easy-to-understand breakdown of what you need to know:

🚫 The Main Rule: Gadgets Off During Class Hours!

Under DepEd Order No. 6, s. 2026, the use of portable electronic devices (like smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches) is strictly prohibited during instructional hours. This rule applies to BOTH learners and school personnel.

That means no scrolling, texting, or playing while the lesson is ongoing!

❌ What is Strictly Prohibited During Class?

To keep everyone focused on learning, the memorandum explicitly bans the following activities during class hours:

📱 Browsing social media

🎮 Playing online games

🎬 Content creation and vlogging

When CAN You Use Your Gadgets?

Don't worry, gadgets aren't completely banned from school! Exemptions are granted for meritorious cases, which include:

Academic Purposes 📖 – When your teacher explicitly asks you to access educational platforms, research digital resources, or participate in authorized online group activities.

Emergency Situations 🚨 – For urgent communication during disasters, medical crises, or immediate safety concerns.

Maraming-maraming salamat sa ating Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) ng Blingkong, sa pangunguna ng ating butihing Barangay Captain, Hon. Reynaldo Rigos, sa inyong taos-pusong suporta at walang sawang pakikiisa sa mga programa ng ating paaralan.

Lubos naming pinahahalagahan ang inyong pagbabahagi ng flush door para sa ating opisina at mga pinta para sa pagpapaganda ng ating kapaligiran, na may kabuuang halagang ₱10,000. Ang inyong kabutihang-loob ay malaking tulong sa patuloy nating pagsisikap na makalikha ng isang ligtas, maayos, at kaaya-ayang lugar ng pagkatuto para sa ating mga mag-aaral.
