PNP NABS 2 TOP REGIONAL MOST WANTED IN BACK-TO-BACK OPS
The Philippine National Police (PNP) continues to intensify its law enforcement operations nationwide, resulting in the successful arrest of two (2) most wanted persons in separate operations conducted on May 5 and 6, 2026, in line with the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations.
In Quirino, on May 5, 2026, joint operatives of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Intelligence Division 2, and other police units served a warrant of arrest against a 42-year-old male identified by aliases “Benson,” “Rufino,” and “Mega,” listed as the No. 1 Most Wanted Person at the regional level and a former member of a threat group operating in Northern Luzon.
The subject was wanted for multiple criminal charges including murder, attempted homicide, direct assault, and attempted murder, with warrants issued by the competent courts in Isabela. He is currently under the custody of the operating unit pending proper turnover to the issuing court.
Meanwhile, in Calamba City, Laguna, on May 6, 2026, tracker operatives of the Calamba City Police Station arrested a 19-year-old male following the service of a warrant issued by a Family Court for statutory r**e. The arrest was carried out in a residential area after verification of intelligence information and proper coordination with concerned units. The suspect is now under police custody pending judicial proceedings.
PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for the successful implementation of the warrants, emphasizing that sustained operations against wanted persons reflect the organization’s commitment to accountability and justice.
“Ang PNP ay nananatiling matatag sa kampanya laban sa kriminalidad. Patuloy ang ating kampanya laban sa mga puganteng may kinakaharap na kaso. Ang mga ganitong operasyon ay patunay na seryoso ang PNP sa pagpapatupad ng batas—walang pinipili, at walang palalampasin,” PGen Nartatez said.
The PNP assures the public that it will continue to pursue wanted persons and strengthen coordination among units to ensure swift and lawful service of warrants across the country. These efforts form part of the organization’s commitment under the Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.
