The SSU University Student Council, together with the Student Organizations of Samar State University, is extending help to the families and residents affected by the fire incident that occurred earlier today in Brgy. 3, Pier 2, Catbalogan City.
Many families have lost their homes and belongings, and some of our fellow students have also been directly affected by this tragedy. In this difficult time, we are accepting both monetary and in-kind donations to help provide immediate assistance and support to those in need.
Every donation, big or small, can go a long way in helping affected families and community members recover and rebuild.

ASEAN Engineers Conferment Ceremony Successfully Held in Oman

Alkhuwair Muscat, Oman — May 30, 2026.
The Philippine Technological Council (PTC) proudly hosted the ASEAN Engineers Conferment Ceremony, held in Wyndham Gardens Hotel in Alkhuwair Muscat, is a landmark event recognizing distinguished engineers across the ASEAN region.

The ceremony was organized in collaboration with the Philippine Technological Council PTC MENA Oman International Affairs, the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO), and the ASEAN Engineering Register (AER).

This prestigious gathering celebrated the conferment of the title ASEAN Engineer, awarded to professionals who have demonstrated exceptional competence, ethical responsibility, and dedication to advancing engineering standards. The event highlighted the collective commitment of ASEAN engineers to innovation, sustainability, and regional development.
