Cucumber Water:
Cucumber is beneficial to overall health as it can help with digestive issues; reduce stress as it has a calming effect on the body, it can also boost energy levels, and improve cognitive functioning. It keeps your skin hydrated from within for a healthy glowing skin.
How to make it:
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1/2 cup cucumber
1 tsp chia seeds
1-inch ginger
5-6 mint leaves ( optional)
Method:
Add cucumber and ginger along with water to a blender and blend on high. Pour it into a glass mug and add chia seeds. Set it aside for 5 mins until the chia seeds swell and enjoy the drinks.
You can chill this in the fridge and then consume or else you can add in crushed ice or ice cubes to the cucumber water.

The fibre in chia seeds help in the slow absorption of food, keeping you full for a longer time and improve digestion, in turn making a person consume lesser food and gain lesser calories. Chia seeds are rich in antioxidants and can help fight free radical damage, that leaves your skin healthy and glowing. These seeds are high in fibre, protein and omega-3s which could help reduce the risk of developing heart diseases. Consumption of these seeds can improve bone health because it has essential nutrients like calcium, phosphorus and magnesium.
Here’s how you can make it:
Ingredients:
½ tbsp chia seeds
1 glass of water (250 ml)
½ tsp cucumber or lemon juice (optional)
1 tsp honey (optional)
Method:
Into a glass of water, add in the chia seeds and let it sit for 15 minutes to an hour. You will start to see the seeds plump up and begin to float around in the water. It is ready to consume. If you wish to flavour it, you can add in lemon and honey, stir well and consume this on an empty stomach and wait for half an hour before consuming any other food or beverage.
Tip: You could make mix the chia seeds in the water before you go to bed and leave it overnight and then consume it the next morning.
