The Philippine crocodile (Crocodylus mindorensis), also known as the Mindoro crocodile or bukarot, is a critically endangered freshwater crocodile species endemic to the Philippines. It is one of two crocodile species found in the Philippines, the other being the larger saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus).

The Philippine crocodile is significantly smaller than its saltwater relative and is primarily found in freshwater habitats like rivers, ponds, and marshes.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Sunday, July 6, warned that the increase in real-time seismic energy measurement (RSAM) and the low level of emission of sulfur dioxide (SO2) in Taal Volcano in Batangas province since last month may trigger an eruption.
