“St. Catherine of Siena, pray for us.”

Mondays through Fridays, on school days, for 10 years in a Dominican school, we keep saying this.

And now I’m in the actual place where the head of the venerable saint is enshrined.

“A soul set on fire with love — for Christ, for the poor, and for all creation — living in radical simplicity, joy, and peace.”

That’s the Basilica of St. Francis where his tomb is interred.
