If you change your fork travel with a new air shaft, do you need a new damper to match the new travel length? Short answer, most likely NO. Modern dampers have a travel *range*, and the damper will simply extend or compress with the new air shaft's length. Manufacturers only physically make air shafts to match the maximum travel of modern forks and their dampers, but if you do have an older fork (think 5 or more years old) then you may just want to double check the maximum travel of your damper so you don't extend the fork past that. #mountainbike #mtbsuspension #mtbfork #mtbforks 04/04/2024
