The world is experiencing the highest number of violent conflicts since the Second World War. Two billion people — a quarter of humanity — live in places affected by conflict, including one in every five children.

In times of conflict, the private sector can help support humanitarian responses and contribute to stability. Companies may choose to provide financial or in-kind contributions of goods and services, and support public outreach efforts that promote peace.
