Your Slack direct messages aren't private, iydk. Same for your enterprise AI chats.
Marc Benioff said he uses Slackbot to scan employee messages and detect concerns, business issues, and operational gaps in real time.

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt was loudly booed by graduating students during a commencement speech at the University of Arizona after repeatedly discussing artificial intelligence and its impact on the future workforce.
The reaction grew stronger whenever Schmidt brought up AI, reflecting growing anxiety among younger generations over automation and shrinking entry-level job opportunities.
Schmidt acknowledged those fears during the speech, telling students he could “hear” their concerns about jobs and the future.

Sumadsad sa panibagong all time low ang halaga ng piso kontra dolyar ngayong Lunes, May 18, 2026.
Ito rin ang ikatlong pagkakataon ngayong Mayo na bumagsak sa pinakamababang halaga ang piso.

There are people who you come across at one point in your life and never forget, especially since they were very pivotal in shaping who you've become.
Dr. Albert Causo is one of those persons for me. Siya ang unang nagbagsak sakin sa Ateneo back in 2002. 🤣 That led to me spiraling and eventually getting booted out of ADMU's BS ECE program, and the rest--as they say--is history.
The irony there is the reason I failed his subject was because I was so scared of doing our final project, which required us to write a program in C. I never touched a single line of C code prior to that. 😅
Fast forward to today, I am heading teams of software developers, created Kuya Dev as an advocacy and creative outlet, and built a community of PH tech career shifters, while actively voicing out in favor of responsible AI. These are things I may not have pursued had I graduated as an ECE from Ateneo, instead of ending up as an EE graduate from FEU and discovering my love for web development many years later. But, who knows? Funny how life works.
But yeah, glad to see Dr. Causo making an enormous mark on the local (and global) tech scene. 💪
(Another fun fact: magkatabi kami ng tinitirhang subdivisions back then.)

🚨 Mistral's CEO just dropped a major warning for Europe, and it's one the open-source world should hear.
Arthur Mensch, CEO of French AI startup Mistral, told France's National Assembly this week that Europe has just two years to build its own AI infrastructure before becoming permanently dependent on American tech giants.
His words were blunt: Europe risks becoming a "vassal state" if it fails to grow its own AI industry and keeps importing digital services from the US.
And it's not just about AI models. Mensch warned the AI race is increasingly a battle over energy, chips, and data center capacity, and US tech companies are already moving aggressively to lock those resources up.
This is exactly why open-source AI matters. Mistral has built its strategy around openness and deployability, giving governments and organizations the ability to run models locally without being locked into a foreign provider's pricing, policies, or politics.
If European startups build on foreign foundation models, they inherit speed and scale, but they also inherit pricing power, product dependency, and strategic risk.
Do you think open-source AI is the real answer to digital sovereignty? Drop your thoughts below!
