Manila Adventist College, through the Office of Community Extension Services (CES), represented by CES Head KGantia and MAC Chaplain RSalo, participated in the Department of Health (DOH) program titled “Workshop on the Development of the National Voluntary Blood Services Program – Social Marketing, Advocacy, and Promotion (SMAP) Plan,” held on April 27–30 in Tagaytay. Spearheaded by Ma’am Marites Estrella, Program Head of the NVBSP of the Department of Health, along with her dedicated team, the workshop was both successful and impactful.
The program provided an opportunity to build strong camaraderie with fellow participants, including Eligue de Leon from Lyceum of the Philippines–Laguna, Jhoy Babaran from the Philippine Information Agency, and Jeffrey Almazan from PNVSCA, especially during group sessions and presentations as members of Team Group 5.
The CES Head, Kgantia, would also like to express appreciation for the kindness and friendship of their roommates—Trisha Niegas from HEI in Valenzuela and Leah Guevarra from HEIs in Quezon City—for the valuable exchange of ideas and benchmarking.
Special thanks as well to benchmarking buddies and new friends, Ma’am Leah Guevarra and Jhoy Babaran.
The knowledge gained and the potential collaborations formed are among the most valuable experiences from participating in this program. It was truly a privilege to be part of this meaningful initiative.
Thank you to the Department of Health and Manila Adventist College for uplifting the spirit of patriotism and for developing responsible leaders equipped to serve the community.
