Sa loob ng 128 taon, patuloy na naging tanglaw ng pag-asa at kaunlaran ang DepEd sa paghubog ng mga kabataang Pilipino.

Taos-pusong pagbati sa lahat ng kawani ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon, 𝐥𝐚𝐥𝐨 𝐧𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐚 𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐨, 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, na walang sawang naglilingkod upang maitaguyod ang de-kalidad na edukasyon para sa bawat mag-aaral.

Nawa’y patuloy nating isabuhay ang ating adhikain na maglinang ng mga kabataang may kaalaman, kakayahan, at mabuting pagkatao.

𝟲𝟭𝟲 𝗔𝗟𝗦 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆

A total of 616 learners from the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Elementary and Junior High School programs Batch 2025 proudly celebrated their Moving-Up Ceremonies, marking a significant milestone in the continuing success of alternative education in DepEd Panabo City.

According to Regional ALS Supervisor Maricel S. Langahid, 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚̀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝟓𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 (𝐀&𝐄) 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫, a testament to the effectiveness of its ALS implementation and the dedication of its educators and partners.

Serving as guest speaker, Marivic B. Valiente inspired the completers with a message centered on vision, resiliency, determination, and perseverance as essential qualities for achieving success despite challenges, emphasizing that education remains a powerful pathway toward personal growth and a brighter future.

Division Superintendent Jinky B. Firman, CESO VI conveyed her profound appreciation to the Local Government Unit of Panabo City, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Jose E. Relampagos, for its unwavering support to the Alternative Learning System, particularly its generous provision of the venue, LED wall, sound system, and refreshments for the completers, underscoring the local government's enduring commitment to advancing inclusive, accessible, and quality education for all.

The ceremony was attended by key education leaders and stakeholders, including Curriculum Chief Janwario E. Yamota, Division ALS Focal Jaime C. Carlom, Public Schools District Supervisor Marlou P. De Asis, ALS specialists, teachers, and community implementers. Joining them were representatives from the local government with Executive Secretary Jo-anne Relampagos-Capuyan, City Councilor and Education Committee Chair JM Relampagos, and Hon. Michael John Badal on behalf of Congressman JM Lagdameo, alongside partners from Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), Panabo Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and barangay captains across Panabo City.

The ceremony served as a testament to the transformative power of ALS, opening doors for learners to complete basic education and pursue greater opportunities while demonstrating that success is attainable through dedication, resilience, and lifelong learning.

𝗥𝗔𝗣 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗼 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀

Ninety teachers from across grade levels in the Schools Division of Panabo City strengthened their capacity to nurture lifelong readers through the 𝗥𝗔𝗣 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀, a free professional development initiative spearheaded by the 𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 (𝘙𝘈𝘗).

The training gathered educators committed to enhancing reading instruction and literacy development among learners. Through a series of engaging plenary discussions and breakout sessions, participants gained valuable insights and practical strategies for facilitating reading development across different age groups and learning contexts.

Leading the sessions were distinguished RAP officers and reading experts from the University of the Philippines Diliman—𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐚 𝐏. 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚, 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐒. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫, 𝐘𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐜𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐳. Their expertise provided teachers with research-based approaches, innovative classroom practices, and fresh perspectives on cultivating reading proficiency among learners.

The initiative was made possible through the collaborative partnership between the 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘋𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘯, represented by 𝘋𝘳. 𝘋𝘪𝘯𝘢 𝘚. 𝘖𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘰, and 𝘋𝘦𝘱𝘌𝘥 𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘰 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺, under the leadership of Schools Division Superintendent 𝘑𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘺 𝘉. 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing literacy education and providing Panabo educators with access to learning opportunities led by some of the country's foremost reading specialists.

The successful conduct of the activity was facilitated through the dedicated efforts of Division Reading Focal Person Iryhn E. Petalcorin, in close coordination with the Reading Association of the Philippines (RAP).

The Department of Education – Panabo City proudly congratulates 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗣. 𝗘𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘇, Grade 9 Teacher of 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒐 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍, for being chosen as the 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 from DepEd Panabo City during the 52𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗥𝗔𝗣) 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁 on June 12–13, 2026, at Ateneo de Davao University.
