Convection is the transfer of heat through the movement of fluids, such as liquids and gases. It occurs when warmer, less dense fluid rises while cooler, denser fluid sinks, creating a circulation that distributes heat.

💡 For example: When water is heated in a pot, the warmer water rises while the cooler water sinks, creating convection currents that help heat the water evenly.

For this week’s feature, we look into the life of 𝐅𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐆ó𝐦𝐞𝐳 (𝟏𝟕𝟗𝟗–𝟏𝟖𝟕𝟐), a Filipino secular priest and one of the leading advocates for the rights of Filipino clergy during the Spanish colonial period. As one of the three priests collectively known as GomBurZa, he was executed alongside José Burgos and Jacinto Zamora following their unjust conviction in connection with the 1872 Cavite Mutiny. His martyrdom became a defining moment in Philippine history, strengthening the growing call for justice, reform, and Filipino nationalism.
