Si Cecilio T. Arillo, isang beteranong awtor-mamamahayag-akademiko, ay nag-aral sa International Academy of Management and Economics (IAME) na may Doctor of Philosophy sa Management; sa Pacific Western University sa Los Angeles, California kasama ang Bachelor of Science sa Mass Communications at Master's Degree in Science, Major in Economics; sa University of Harvard Law School-MIT-Tufts (consortium) sa Negotiation, Mediation and Conflict Management; at sa Harvard Kennedy School of Government sa Effective Decision Making and organizational Change for Senior Executives.

Sa loob ng maraming taon, nagturo siya ng undergraduate at postgraduate studies sa International Academy of Management and Economics (IAME) at naging pangulo ng Philippine Council of Management (Philcoman) Research Institute.

Si Arillo, na nagsusulat ng isang column para sa Business Mirror, ay isang miyembro ng American Economic Association, ng The American Sociological Association, ng Philconsa, ng National Press Club at ng iba pang mga samahan.

Kabilang sa mga Aklat niya ay ang: "Breakaway", "Greed & Betrayal", "Power Grab", "A Country Imperiled", "Imelda" at "The Marcos Legacy".
