A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was formally signed last June 8, 2026 between Project Empower, Inc. and the National Youth Volunteers Coalition, Inc., Inc. (NYVC), marking a shared commitment to advancing volunteerism, youth empowerment, disability inclusion, and community development.

The National Youth Volunteers Coalition, Inc. (NYVC) is a youth-led volunteer organization committed to promoting volunteerism, civic engagement, leadership development, and community service through mobilizing and engaging volunteers in various community-based initiatives nationwide.

The ceremonial signing was led by Project Empower President John Darell Castro and NYVC National President Queenie Comadug.

The signing was witnessed by Ma. Joanna Forbes (National Vice President for Administration, NYVC), Elle Sotero (Luzon Sector Coordinator, NYVC), and RJ Damian (Member, Board of Trustees).

Together, this collaboration reflects a shared vision of inclusive development and meaningful youth and community engagement. 💙

From Olympic-style adaptive games to an adaptive basketball face-off, the event highlights resilience, trust, and the power of showing up for one another. Beyond the games, it’s about building connections and proving that sports—and love—are meant for everyone.

This is our way of honoring love in all its forms: for community, for advocacy, and for creating spaces where everyone feels seen, respected, and empowered.

Hearts of Steel: SUPER Games 2026, in collaboration with Project Empower, is a Valentine’s-themed inclusive sports event that brings together PWD athletes, volunteers, and partner communities for a day of movement, teamwork, and fun.

The event features Olympic-style adaptive games followed by an adaptive basketball showdown, celebrating skill, trust, and perseverance. More than competition, this is about connection—showing that sports are for everyone.

We’re doing this to celebrate all forms of love: love for community, friendship, and advocacy, while challenging stereotypes and creating a space where everyone feels seen and empowered.

Because inclusion is love in action. 🫶
