SUPERMAN (2025)
10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As a fan of James Gunn's superhero film/series work. This is by far the closest superhero film we’ve ever watched since GOTG vol 3. In our opinion, all superman standalone films are good and have been portrayed excellently by their lead casts. But for us, what makes this different (not saying the best) is that we get to see a fun and adventure packed version of the franchise. We felt that this movie is made for all members of the family including your pets! Jk.
We haven’t really read all these superhero comics, probably just a couple of them or short comic strips added to newspapers and magazines. But we can say that this film feels like a comic book episode where we get to watch all the fun stuff in live action.
The plot is just simple where there is a bad guy bringing chaos into this world and then the superhero saves the day. But is it just Superman as the hero who saved the day?
What we enjoyed:
✔️The cast has done a great job on representing these characters in the film.
✔️The movie is what you would include to those movies that are meant to be watched in big screens. The combination of warm and vibrant colors with the brilliant and immersive audio adds up to the whole superhero experience.
✔️Krypto!🐶 and THE JUSTICE GANG! James Gunn is an excellent maestro when it comes to turning animals, weird creatures, monsters and etc into loveable movie characters that we personally didn’t know existed. These other superheroes included in this film are definitely a scene stealer. Its not that Superman is portrayed as weak, but it shows that he allows himself to work with others.
✔️The fight and heroic scenes! The fight scenes are insane. We get to see all of superman’s metahuman abilities. And the sound effects of those superman punches really gives you an imagination how powerful it is. And then the heroic scenes, Man! Probably will bringout all kinds of emotions out of you. Adding to this, he is constantly saving everyone! Not just people.
✔️Lastly, what we loved about this film is that it could be a great representation of hope and how its like being human.
Overall, this is by far the best movie of 2025. It is a fun heroic ride watching this film. We have to give this a 10/10. Thank you James Gunn for bringing us this punk rocker hero back to life!

M3GAN 2.0 – 7.5/10
She’s back? And so are we.
Sharing another review to help you guys pick your next answer to the question, “Ano papanoodin natin?”
We were lowkey excited for this sequel (even though it wasn’t really necessary).
To those who haven’t watched the previous film, the story is about Cady, who was sent to live with her aunt Gemma due to the recent passing of her parents. Gemma, who is a roboticist, creates an AI-powered doll-like robot (M3GAN) to look out for Cady. But M3GAN was designed to be so protective of Cady that things went too far and got out of hand. We all know that the ending of the first film has M3GAN neutralized, but she lives on in Gemma’s smart home system.
The sequel (M3GAN 2.0) follows an android named AMELIA, which is designed for military use. And guess what? Things go wrong again. AMELIA becomes self-aware, goes rogue, and conspires to execute a plan for AI dominance. Gemma and her original crew reluctantly team up with M3GAN to hunt down AMELIA.
The film had more humor and action than the previous one, with the horror factor being somewhat overlooked which I understand why some fans did not enjoy it as much as the first one. But with the differences between the two films, we honestly enjoyed this one a lot more than expected. The series is starting to take a more heroic direction, which we’re fans of. This film series can also be compared to Terminator storyline.
Overall, we give this a 7.5 out of 10, mainly because it was supposed to be a horror film rather than an action/superhero fiction film.
Highlights of the Film:
✔️The film’s overall humor
✔️How it turned into a superhero film
✔️The way it shows the rising danger of AI and how humans can be even more dangerous by manipulating such technologies

How to Train Your Dragon (Live Action) – 8/10
Back at it for another flick suggestion and review.
This is a special treat for us who tuned in to the animated trilogy when we were still young. How to Train Your Dragon will always have a special place in our childhood hearts.
But watching this film hits different at this age (199…… 🤣). We get to understand and appreciate some of the conversations and jokes better than before.
If you aren’t familiar with the animated version of this film, the story goes: a Viking village is being swarmed by rodents/pests which, in this case, are DRAGONS. The main character, Hiccup, the son of Stoick the Viking village’s chief is struggling to keep up with his father’s legacy of being a Viking.
The film has great CGI. The film is just as fun as it was, and as always, it is a great role model for showing heart, how to trust, and teaching courage.
The only tiny suggestion for the "what can be improved" category is that (not sure if it’s a theatre issue), the dialogues are not very clear. Maybe it’s because of their strong Viking accents. But this can cause people (especially first-time viewers) to not understand what they are talking about clearly. I know that it is very rare to find a cinema that has a subtitle option, but it could’ve been helpful in this film. Still, it’s not a biggie since the film still delivers.
Overall, we give this one an 8 out of 10. Highly recommended for kids and for those who are kids at heart.

NOVOCAINE (2025) 8.5/10
This movie is surprisingly good! We weren't expecting too much before watching it, but we ended up enjoying ourselves.
The film is promoted as an action/thriller, but expect some comedy as well.
In the first 15–20 minutes, you might think it's just a typical love story. But once the film’s concept is introduced and the conflict starts to kick in, you'll find yourself watching an action movie with a twist.
The story basically revolves around Novocaine trying to rescue his co-worker, who is also his love interest.
The fighting/action sequences are both funny and well executed. The house filled with b***y traps, in my opinion, is hilarious. And if you're familiar with Jack Quaid's work, you’ll know he often plays characters who are innocent, innately good, and charming. That’s exactly what he brings to this film, it kind of feels like Hughie is the protagonist here! Often finding himself in situations where he needs to improvise. I think that adds to what makes the movie interesting.
Overall, a great film to watch over the weekend especially for those looking for an action packed movie. Great writing and ending as well.

BALLERINA (2025) – 7.5 / 10
After some time off, we are finally back with another review to help you guys choose your next flick to watch.
We will start with a film that revolves around one of the greatest action film series ever, which is Ballerina (2025) of the John Wick universe.
We all know that anything John Wick related will be action packed, but we didn’t expect that this film, which is an introduction of a new John Wick character, would be stacked with action scenes from start to finish. You’ll only get around 2–4 minutes of a break before you hear the next gunshot, punches being thrown, explosions, and more.
This film is about Eve (Ana de Armas) wanting to get revenge on someone who took something very precious from her when she was young, wherein she found her way into being one of Ruska Roma’s assassins.
The story is very decent, and we think that the film intentionally gives us an open ending to each story within the film for future sequels and references.
We didn’t expect much when it comes to Ana playing the lead role since we typically see her in films that usually explore her beauty. But to our surprise, she delivered well and is actually awesome when it comes to the action scenes and stunts.
Aside from that, the things to look out for are, of course, the special appearance of the Baba Yaga himself, which gives you a different perspective on how John does his work. There are also a few new characters introduced and some old folks returning in this film.
Highlights of the Film:
🟣Ana de Armas’ ex*****on of the lead role
🟣Baba Yaga’s appearance
🟣The overall sound is outstanding! You have to watch this with your best bass boosted sound output for the best experience. (Watch out for that shotgun scene!)
🟣Variety of action scenes that differ from the earlier films
Overall, we would give this a 7.5 out of 10. The film was enjoyable and is a true example of what an “Action Film” is or at least, should be. Dads will definitely have a great time watching this film. 🤣🤣

Captain America Brave New World
6.5/10
Let's start with setting your expectations. If you've been following the MCU in the past years, ya'll know that Sam Wilson as Captain America is different from Steve Rogers' Captain America due to Sam not having that super soldier serum that Steve has. So it is amazing to see someone is doing well to be given the responsibility to carry that shield without that superhuman ability. And Anthony Mackie did not disappoint. One of the great aspects of the film, is Sam's character and he is definitely worthy as Cap's successor. The action scenes are very decent naman pero it could've been better and a possible area of improvement for better CGI quality and visual effects. Basically, the story of the film revolves on Sam proving himself as Captain America and being caught with some international threats. We also want to give praise to Harrison Ford's take on now President Ross aka Red Hulk. For his age, we weren't expecting that Han Solo or Indiana Jones energy from him but he did very well as Ross im this film. There are several new character introductions and a few old characters who appeared on this film which are all to look out for.
Overall, the film tried to keep the Captain America: Winter Soldier vibe where you would just feel that this is a regular action movie which is great. However, we think that story was just average and there wasn't really a "WOW" factor or an element of surprise in this film. If you are a Marvel fan, you would still find yourself enjoying watching this film. But don't expect to see a "Portals Engame" or "Multiverse Peter Parker" kinda scenes here. It is still a decent film and we understand why some people are disappointed with this film because Marvel raised the bar on their previous films. Try to lower your expectations a bit if you are planning to watch this film. But we enjoyed it and still give it a 6.5/10.
Enjoy the film, CLAYGO and avoid sharing spoilers.
Hope this helps y'all!
