Recently, the team participated in a training on Artificial Intelligence (AI) aimed at enhancing the capabilities of our Geographic Information System (GIS). This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to explore emerging technologies that support data-driven governance, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to smarter solutions for the City of Manila while enhancing public services for Manileños.

As we continue to build our technical expertise, we look forward to integrating AI-powered innovations that will further enhance our services and support the city’s development initiatives.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐬-𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐈𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚

Kaninang alas-diyes ng umaga, isinagawa ang 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘴-𝘞𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭 sa iba’t ibang unibersidad at barangay sa paligid ng Intramuros bilang bahagi ng paghahanda ng Lungsod ng Maynila sa posibleng pagdating ng isang malakas na lindol, o mas kilala bilang “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘪𝘨 𝘖𝘯𝘦.”

Pinangunahan nina Mayor Isko Domagoso at Vice Mayor Chi Atienza, kasama si Director Arnel Angeles at ang Chief ng Innovation Integrated GIS and Data Hub na si Ramon Jefferson Verano, ang pagpapalipad at demonstrasyon ng mga makabagong drone ng lungsod. Ang mga drone ay may kakayahang magsagawa ng thermal imaging at nilagyan ng speaker at spotlight, na makatutulong sa mabilis na paghahanap, pagtukoy, at agarang pagtugon sa mga biktima sa panahon ng mga sakuna.

Ayon sa pamahalaang lungsod, ang paggamit ng makabagong teknolohiya ay bahagi ng patuloy na pagpapalakas ng disaster preparedness at emergency reponse capabilities ng Maynila, upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng bawat Manileño.

A proud milestone as team members received their certificates after successfully completing the drone training program. The training covered CAAP-compliant flight maneuvers, safety protocols, and hands-on operational exercises essential for responsible and effective drone operations.

This program was conducted and facilitated by NDR Corporation, whose expertise and guidance greatly contributed to the team’s skill development and technical proficiency. This certification reflects our continued commitment to capability building, innovation, and excellence in geospatial and aerial operations.

Drone Training Final Day

Highlights the successful completion of our training program, where participants underwent final evaluations and certification after days of intensive flight maneuvers. Led by the Innovation Integrated GIS and Data Hub, with the support of NDR Corporation.

Drone Training – Day 1

Conducted a lecture on CAAP regulations, focusing on RPA policies, airspace classification, operational limitations, and safety requirements in preparation for RPA licensing and certification.

This session serves as the foundation of our training program, reinforcing regulatory compliance and professional standards to support safe and responsible drone operations for the City of Manila.

Drone Training – Day 2

In continuation of our capacity-building efforts, CAAP-compliant flight maneuvers were conducted in partnership with NDR Corporation, focusing on standard operating procedures, controlled airspace awareness, precision flight control, and safety protocols for RPA operations.

This training forms part of our ongoing initiative to elevate and upgrade technical capabilities in support of data-driven operations, disaster preparedness, and public service for the City of Manila.
