✨ FEATURED WORKS:
🌱 PAGSIBOL: AN ODE TO SPECTACLE
Features the art of kundiman, a traditional Filipino song form used in courtship. The project is an invitation for the audience to the marriage of an artist’s body and soul. By this, the performance itself is a reflection of what may come when they follow their creativity without limits. Pagsibol is a ritualization of an artist’s becoming.

💋 PRO-PAGANDA
In a drag-powered musical parody, this film unpacks the machinery of Philippine propaganda: its glamour, generational corruption, and the people left behind.

🎐 OUR YESTERDAYS
A day before high school graduation, three friends meet up in their old hangout space to reminisce about their high school life.

SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE (Del Mundo, Eduarte, Muñoz, Sy, Yu)

We scroll through success stories, chase milestones, and sometimes forget to ask: Am I allowed to rest? In this devised performance, we explore the theme of contentment— a shared yet shifting desire for peace, purpose, and fulfillment.

ARDENT (Cabanban, Chavarria, Sembrano, Mondejar, Vicencio)

In the world of production design, the body serves as both a tool and a vessel, essential to the realization of artistic visions. Behind the completed sets and the applause lies an unspoken truth: a deep fear of the moment their physical bodies can no longer endure the demands of their work.

ARROWS OF FATE (Alamon, Bitana, Ford, Guiterrez, Novencido)

A devised stage performance that explores the idea and tension between time and direction, based on the metaphors used, which are the compass and the clock. How do you know if time and compass are pointing to the same truth?

THE LIGHT THAT CANNOT FILL THE ROOM (Clemente, Co, Gamil, Vivar)

Trapped in a loop of negativity — unworthiness, rejection, repeated failure— we are given the choice to give up, break free, or simply rest.

MADE WITH LOVE (Basco, Bocboc, Huang, Macapinlac, Magino)

In today’s generation, many people are unsure of how to give or receive love. This project uses food as a metaphor to explore the different forms and layers of love, questioning how people choose to experience it, and whether they sometimes mistake false appearances for sincerity.

PAG-ULAN SA BUKANG LIWAYWAY (Castro, Gonzaga, Mendiola, Rodriguez, Tan)

When you ask college students of Generation Z about their fears, one of the most common answers is the fear of the unknown. This devised performance aims to provide comfort through sharing common experiences and to call out the institution on how it can address these problems more effectively.

STELLAR STRIP (Acero, Angeles, Del Rosario, Umbalin, Tiong)

Ambition is often seen as a path to success, but it can also lead to deep personal dissatisfaction. While society celebrates achievements, it rarely acknowledges the emotional costs behind them. This project seeks to understand why the pursuit of ambition often results in internal dissatisfaction and how success shapes one’s self-worth, mental well-being, and perception of fulfillment.

Dramaturgy has many facets: historization, analysis, contextualization, rehearsal, and bridging the space between artists and audiences. The role of the dramaturg changes from project to project but the intention is always to facilitate conversations through art.

Throughout the semester, students in the Dramaturgy class have tackled a core question relevant to their experience. Who are we? What makes us happy? What is bothering us? What scares us? Each performance is a realization of a core question through the intersection of material, space, performance, and audience engagement.

We invite you to be curious with us.

How can we find security in not knowing the future, in life and after death? The fragility of life and the weight of relationships are symbolized through a metaphorical journey of an actor pulling a cart with a lit candle. As life progresses, challenges arise, and decisions must be made about which relationships to hold onto and which to let go of.
