Knee is painful

Knee pain is felt by many people. Usually it starts at age 40 and up. The leading cause of knee pain is arthritis, an aging disease.
If you’re overweight, your knees will hurt earlier. If you over-exercise, such as runners, kickboxer or basketball players, your knees may be strained.
What To Avoid?
• Don't lift heavy things. If you have something to lift, help a mate to carry half the weight.
• Don't always go up and down the stairs. Using the stairs puts a lot of stress on the knees.
• Do not stand or walk for long periods of time. Sit back every once in a while and relax. Knees are more relaxed when we are sitting.
• Don't wear high heels. I know women are sexier in high heels, but it also puts a lot of stress on our knees.
• Don't kneel on the floor. This breaks the knee. When you are in church, use soft mattress for your knees.
What Is There To Do?
• If you are overweight, you need to lose weight. Because your knees can't carry the weight of your stomach!
• Buy rubber shoes or soft shoes. Wear thick slippers. This will help to keep the knee from bruising.
• Strengthen the muscles in our thighs. There are exercises for this. Stationary bike or bending exercise is okay (Half squat and not full squat. ). Extreme knee bending over 90 degrees is bad.
• When the knees get hot during long walks, a cold bag or cold compress can be used.
• Strengthen the bone. Drink skim milk with lots of calcium. For women also take calcium supplements.
• If knee pain does not go away, consult an orthopedic surgeon or rheumatologist.
• The benefits of Glucosamine and chondroitin tablets are not yet determined. This supplement can potentially reduce our knee and joint pain. Ask with your doctor.
• Remember: Take care of your knees. Don't be forced and tagged at work. Rest the knee so we can use it longer. Good luck.
