🚨 𝐂𝐀𝐌 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐓 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 🚨

In celebration of 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉 2026, CAM CERT, together with fellow Local CERTs, actively participated in the “𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑼𝑷𝑷𝑷 𝑫𝑹𝑹𝑴 𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑫𝑹𝑹𝑴” 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 held at the 𝐒𝐋𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐄𝐍 𝐀𝐕𝐑 on 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 14–15, 2026.

Organized by the 𝑸𝒖𝒆𝒛𝒐𝒏 𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒊𝒔𝒌 𝑹𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 (𝑸𝒖𝑬𝑫𝑹𝑹𝑴𝑶), 𝑺𝑳𝑺𝑼 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 (𝑼𝑯𝑺), in collaboration with the 𝑸𝒖𝒆𝒛𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒊𝒔𝒌 𝑹𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 (𝑷𝑫𝑹𝑹𝑴𝑶), the two day seminar was conducted in separate batches to accommodate participants from various schools and organizations.

The seminar enhanced participants’ knowledge and practical skills through discussions and demonstrations on the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐌 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐌 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, including the thematic areas of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management - Prevention and Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Rehabilitation and Recovery. Participants also underwent orientation on 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬-𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐇𝐨𝐂𝐏𝐑) 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 5 𝐂’𝐬, 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐝 (4 𝐂’𝐬), and 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬, covering heart attack, stroke, diabetic emergencies (hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia), and seizures.

Through initiatives like this, CAM CERT continues to uphold its commitment to building competent and disaster ready volunteers with 𝑺𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑺𝒂𝒗𝒆. 𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒔. 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒔 ❤️‍🩹

𝙅𝙖𝙣 𝘿𝙚𝙡 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚 for successfully participating in the 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙊𝙘𝙘𝙪𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 (𝘽𝙊𝙎𝙃 1) 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 conducted by 𝙎𝙇𝙎𝙐 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙞𝙨𝙠 𝙍𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (𝙐𝘿𝙍𝙍𝙈) 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙇𝙎𝙐 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 (𝙐𝙃𝙎) on 𝙅𝙪𝙡𝙮 7, 2026 at the 𝘾𝙀𝙉 𝘼𝙑𝙍.

The training, led by 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝘽𝙧𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡𝙤 𝙀. 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙤𝙣, equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), including workplace hazard identification, risk assessment and control, emergency preparedness, electrical safety, fire prevention and control, and OSH compliance.

This learning experience strengthens CAM CERT’s commitment to fostering a safer, more prepared, and resilient university community, because through 𝑺𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑺𝒂𝒗𝒆, 𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒔, we continue to empower volunteers to make a meaningful difference in every situation. ❤️‍🩹
