Loon Manpower Development Center

On May 6, 2026, the Loon Manpower Development Center successfully conducted a DTI – Entrepreneurial Development Training and Financial Literacy Seminar for twenty (20) learners enrolled in the Bread and Pastry Production NC II program, with Ms. Jessel Marie M. Salas as the resource speaker. The activity aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge and skills not only in baking but also in entrepreneurship, business planning, and product development.

During the seminar, participants were encouraged to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and to explore innovative ideas that would make their products more competitive in the market.

The session further emphasized the value of creativity, adaptability, and customer-oriented service in the food industry. Overall, the seminar provided valuable insights and hands-on knowledge that will help the learners become more confident, capable, and better prepared as they pursue opportunities in the baking and pastry sector or venture into their own small businesses in the future.

Maestrado, our participants—Aege Calabria, 18, from Cuasi, Loon for Bread and Pastry Production and Rodylan Sevilla, 19, from Cogon Norte, Loon for Shielded Metal Arc Welding—are well-prepared to demonstrate their abilities, maintain high standards of skill, and embody excellence as they face the challenges ahead that will test their knowledge, competence, and determination.
