๐๐๐ ๐ฃ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ญ, ๐จ๐ฝ๐ถ, ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐, ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐น๐ฎ โ MGen Gulliver L. Seรฑires, Commander of the 5th Infantry Division, led the 84th Araw ng Kagitingan commemoration on April 9, 2026, at Heritage Memorial Park in Brgy. Roxas, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.
As guest of honor and speaker, MGen Seรฑires led the tribute to the sacrifices of Filipino soldiers during World War II, particularly those who endured the fall of Bataan and the Bataan Death March. He emphasized that the occasion serves not only as a remembrance of history but also as a continuing call for every Filipino to uphold the values of courage, unity, and service.
In his message, MGen Seรฑires paid tribute to the countryโs veterans, stating, โTo our dear veteransโthe living witnesses of valorโyou are the embodiment of courage. Your sacrifices paved the way for the freedom we enjoy today. Because of you, the flame of patriotism continues to burn brightly in the hearts of every Filipino.โ
The event, anchored on the theme โGiting ng Bayani, Pamana sa Salinlahi,โ brought together military personnel, local officials, partner agencies, and veterans in a solemn and meaningful gathering of remembrance and gratitude.
Also in attendance were BGen Rhoderick L. Parallag, Commander of the 502nd Infantry Brigade; Lt. Col. Rod A. Babaran Jr., Commanding Officer of the 86th Infantry Battalion; and Lt. Col. Paulo A. Espinosa, Director of the 203rd Community Defense Center, along with representatives from various government and civic organizations.
Observed as part of the Philippine Veterans Week, Araw ng Kagitingan continues to honor the enduring contributions of Filipino veterans in securing the countryโs freedom.

Ang aktibidad ay pinangunahan ni MGen Gulliver L. Seรฑires, Commander, 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army bilang panauhing pandangal at tagapagsalita. Nakiisa rin si BGen Rhoderick L. Parallag, Commander, 502nd Infantry Brigade, kasama si Ltc Rod A. Babaran Jr., Commanding Officer ng 86IB, at Ltc Paulo A. Espinosa, Director ng 203rd Community Defense Center. Ang nasabing aktibidad ay dinaluhan din ng mga kinatawan mula sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Nueva Vizcaya, Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Solano, Kagawaran ng Turismo, Nueva Vizcaya State University, Girl Scout of the Philippines Nueva Vizcaya Chapter, Sons and Daughter Association Inc., laang-kawal ng 203rd RRIBn, ibaโt-ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, at mga beterano sa pangunguna ng Philippine Veterans Affairs Office.
Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni MGen Siรฑeres na ang Araw ng Kagitingan ay hindi lamang pag-alala sa nakaraan kundi isang paalala at hamon sa kasalukuyan at sa hinaharapโna ang diwa ng kabayanihan ay dapat patuloy na isabuhay at ipamana sa susunod na henerasyon.
Ang Araw ng Kagitingan, na kilala rin bilang โDay of Valor o Bataan Dayโ, ay ginugunita bilang pag-alala sa kabayanihan ng mga sundalong pilipino noong Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig, partikular ang pagbagsak ng Bataan noong ika-9 ng Abril taong 1942 at ang makasaysayang โDeath Marchโ na kumitil sa libo-libong buhay ng mga sundalong pilipino.
Sa kasalukuyan, ito ay ginugunita bilang bahagi ng Philippine Veterans Week, kung saan patuloy na kinikilala ang mahalagang papel at sakripisyo ng mga beterano sa pagkamit ng kalayaan ng bansa.
Ang 86IB ay nananatiling matatag sa tungkulin nito na ipagtanggol ang mga komunidad sa area na nasasakupan at panatilihing buhay ang diwa ng kagitinganโhindi lamang sa alaala ng nakaraan, kundi sa bawat kilos at sakripisyo para sa kapayapaan at kinabukasan ng sambayanang pilipino.

502nd Infantry (Liberator) Brigade Leads Youth for Peace Initiative in Isabela
ECHAGUE, Isabela โThe 502nd Infantry (LIBERATOR) Brigade conducted an Information and Education Campaign (IEC) as part of a two-day Youth Summer Camp organized by the Christ the Righteous Judge Church in Barangay Santa Victoria, City of Ilagan, on April 3, 2026.
The initiative aimed to empower the youth with knowledge and awareness on critical societal issues, particularly focusing on the โFive Stages of Deceptive Recruitmentโ employed by the CPP-NPA-NDF. The session highlighted how these groups target and influence young individuals through various recruitment strategies, emphasizing the importance of vigilance, critical thinking, and informed decision-making.
A key highlight of the activity was the testimony of Pvt Ma Christine Macaspac (Inf) PA, a former rebel sharing her personal experiences and insights. Her engaging discussion, combined with an interactive question-and-answer segment, allowed participants to better understand the realities behind deceptive recruitment tactics. The participants expressed appreciation for the informative and eye-opening session.
Further strengthening the engagement, MAJ JAY LORE R MANALIGOD (FS) PA, Brigadeโs Civil-Military Officer, provided an overview of the Army recruitment process. He encouraged the youth to consider a career in public service, emphasizing values such as patriotism, discipline, and leadership. His message inspired attendees to explore meaningful opportunities in nation-building through military service.
The 502nd Infantry (LIBERATOR) Brigade reaffirmed its dedication to continuing community-based initiatives that educate, inspire, and empower the Filipino youth to become proactive contributors to peace and national development.

502Bde Receives State-of-the-Art LED Wall from AFPSLAI
Echague, Isabela โ The Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (AFPSLAI), led by President and CEO Rear Admiral Nichols A. Driz PN (Ret), formally turned over one (1) LED wall unit to the 502nd Infantry (Liberator) Brigade during a ceremony held at Headquarters 502Bde on March 30, 2026.
The newly installed LED wall is a high-impact visual communication tool designed to enhance the brigadeโs capability for information dissemination, command briefings, and operational coordination. The upgrade supports both administrative and mission-critical functions, reinforcing the unitโs ability to communicate clearly and efficiently.
In his message, RADM Driz emphasized AFPSLAIโs commitment beyond financial services, highlighting its role in supporting partner units through meaningful initiatives. He underscored that such efforts reflect the organizationโs broader vision of contributing to nation-building and institutional development.
Col Allan Tabudlo GSC (INF) PA represented Brigadier General Rhoderick L. Parallag PA, Commander of 502Bde, who relayed the unitโs gratitude for the donation, noting its value in strengthening the brigadeโs service excellence. He reaffirmed the unitโs commitment to maximize the equipmentโs use in support of mission accomplishment.
