Yesterdayโs PAG-AALAM 2.0 session brought us one step closer to turning knowledge management into something we live and practice every day.
In Episode 3: Institutionalizing Knowledge Management, Ms. Danellie Joy O. Medina of the DOST-PCAARRD Management Information Systems Division (MISD) shared how KM can be embedded into an organizationโs daily systems and processes, drawing from actual practices within DOST-PCAARRD. From policies to workflows, she showed that KM is not a one-time effort but something that becomes part of how an institution operates.
Participants were also introduced to various digital tools and platforms used for knowledge inventory and management, and how these are applied in real institutional settings. Ms. Medina openly discussed the challenges of adopting KM systems and shared valuable recommendations from IBM-CORPS on how organizations can strengthen and sustain their KM initiatives.
The open forum turned into a meaningful exchange of experiences, with participants, especially from Cavite State University (CvSU) and Southern Luzon State University (SLSU), sharing their own practices in managing research and extension knowledge resources through their KM Center and Office. One key message stood out from the session: Knowledge Management is not just for KM units, it is part of who we are and what we do as an institution.
But this isn't the ๐ฑ๐ข๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ฎ of PAG-AALAM 2.0 yet! Join us on April 13 (1:00โ5:00 PM) for our final episode, where we will explore how to measure the success of knowledge management initiatives, because what we sustain, we must also learn how to evaluate.
Letโs finish strong. See you in the final episode! ๐๐
