All hands on deck for today's Mga Abyan sa Pagbasa workshop!

In collaboration with the University of the Philippines Visayas Language Program, a capacity-building workshop highlighting the importance of read-aloud in building literacy was held at Particion Elementary School last May 29, 2026. Participants composed of parents and teachers, attended the session led by Asst. Prof. Anna Liza Barcelona, participating in group discussions and read-aloud demonstrations during the event. Insights and feedback were also shared during the session, incorporating the perspectives of both educators and stakeholders into strengthening a culture of reading for children even outside the classroom.

"Each and every one of us has a responsibility and we must do our part as adults. We have to help our children be better beyond the classroom." Barcelona emphasized during the session.

Project Palabasa also turned over learning resources and books from Bagong Kultura Pilipinas as well as Adarna House's Wikahon Set to Particion Elementary School.

Ending the year with a small celebration of gratitude and fun! 🎉🎄

A small Christmas party was held at the Project Palabasa library last December 19, 2025 together with our student patrons and their parents, culminating in an afternoon of fun activities, shared meals and a small gift-giving session.

We would like to thank our dear patrons and their parents for spending your time with us! Our heartfelt gratitude also to Vineyard for providing us snacks and for generously sponsoring the drinks for this activity (manamit gid!)

As we wrap up our 2025 operations, the team at Project Palabasa would like to wish everyone a happy and restful holiday season!

We will be returning full-time on January 5, 2026. See you!
