In english we say “I’m tired working”

but in Bridgerton they say “One cannot help but grow utterly weary of the endless demands of one’s daily toil, and yet we persevere, as society so insists.”

Sometimes at work | know I’m right, but I still stay quiet. The words are right there in my chest, but they never make it out because I’m afraid of making things worse, looking disrespectful, or losing my job. It’s frustrating to carry that feeling— knowing the truth but having to swallow it anyway. I walk away telling myself it’s better to keep the peace, but inside it still stings, like my voice matters less than everyone else’s.

Not everyone who lives or works abroad is rich. Growing up, I used to think that going abroad was the ultimate solution—that once I worked there, I could build my dream house, buy my dream car, and even start my own business. And yes, that’s what most people dream of. But reality hits differently when you’re alone in a foreign country, juggling bills, sending money back home, and trying to survive on your own. It’s true that a dollar is worth more than a peso, but the cost of living abroad is also much higher. So don’t be quick to judge or get upset if someone abroad can’t send you extra cash or lend you money for your wants. Many of them are sacrificing their own comfort and working endless hours just so their families back home can live a little better. Behind the photos and smiles they post, there are sleepless nights, homesickness, and financial struggles you may never see.
