PYA Matanao: Future Hope — One Vision, One Collaboration for a Wow Matanao

The Local Government Unit of Matanao, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO-Matanao), successfully conducted its Year-End Evaluation cm Team Building and Christmas Party on December 9–10 at Federicos Resort at san jose Matanao davao del sur,

This two-day activity gathered 50 youth including leaders and members of Matanao for meaningful, fun-filled, and capacity-enhancing activities designed to strengthen their leadership skills and prepare them for a brighter and more empowered future. Participants engaged in interactive sessions such as Greet and Meet, Team Building Challenges, Parlor Games, and the Presentation of Accomplishments for 2025 along with initial Budget and Planning for 2026.

A highlight of the evening was the lively and entertaining Macho Gay 2025, where four talented candidates showcased not only their charisma and creativity but also their confidence in answering questions that reflected their personal strength and authenticity.

Crowning the two-day event was the Election of the new PYA-Matanao Officers, presided over by PYAP - Matanao President Mr. Mhar Daniel Diamos of Barangay San Vicente, Matanao, Davao del Sur. The newly elected officers are as follows:

PYAP Provincial Leadership Training Successfully Conducted in Digos City

The Pag-asa Youth Association ng Matanao, proudly participated in the PYAP Provincial Leadership Training,a comprehensive 3-day capacity building program held on November 19-21,2025 at Megas World Hotel in Digos City.

With the theme "Strength in Unity:Youth Leadership Training for Tomorrow's Changemakers"is a capacity-building program designed to empower young people with the skills, confidence, and values needed to lead with purpose. Through teamwork, leadership exercises, and community-focused activities, participants learn how unity, collaboration, and shared vision can create meaningful and lasting change in their communities, and beyond.

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Matanao, through the Pag-asa Youth Association of Matanao (PYA Matanao), in partnership with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and the Local Youth Development Office of Matanao, is conducting a three-day Leadership Training Seminar cm Perfume-Making Workshop from June 24-26, 2025, at Megans Function Hall, Digos City.

This seminar targets 45 youth participants composed of PYA Matanao Presidents and members, SK Federation Officers, Youth for Peace Matanao members, and selected HUGNA Facilitators.
