Pasalidahay and Auteur are proud to introduce “Tanaw, ta Baks!” a seasonal Pride Film Screening here in Davao City. A curated film screening composed of fourteen regional short films all over the country divided into two sets: “Laban ta, Baks” and “Gakos ta, Baks” which represents the shared struggles, joys, romance, friendship and journeys of being a Filipino who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ Community. A talkback session with the participating filmmakers will be held after each screening block to have a conversation through the lens of cinema.

This event is welcome to everyone who wants to be part of the dialogue, to champion our very own q***r films to be more visible to the people they represent and be part of a community that fosters love, care, acceptance and a space where everyone can be truly themselves.

Green House has become the de-facto home of Pasalidahay and we thought of programming Filipino short films about houses, our evolving relationships to it as a space and our varied personal connections to the idea of home.
