The College of Engineering Student Council invites all engineering students to a day of collaboration and celebration on 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 at the UEP Gymnatorium. We begin the morning with the Stakeholder’s Consultative Meeting and Orientation/Reorientation, a significant gathering designed to strengthen partnerships, establish direction, and reaffirm our shared commitment to excellence in Engineering. This event serves as an avenue to align goals, address concerns, and empower both students and organizations within the College.

As the day transitions into evening, the celebration continues with CoECHELLA: An Acquaintance Party and Induction Ceremony—a Coachella-inspired festivity that highlights the vibrant spirit of the Engineering community. This event will not only mark the formal induction of officers but also create an atmosphere of unity, connection, and joy as we welcome new students and celebrate the bonds that make the College of Engineering stronger.

Join us in this dual celebration of purpose and passion. Together, let us begin this academic year with meaningful conversations by day and unforgettable moments by night. Truly, this is a season of empowerment, festivity, and Engineering pride.

𝐀𝐁𝐄 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐎𝐧𝐞-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝟔𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲

The Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department of the College of Engineering, University of Eastern Philippines conducted a one-day post-celebration of its 66th Founding Anniversary on September 19, 2025 held at the 3rd Floor of the College of Engineering Building. It was made possible through the initiatives of the PSABE-PPG UEP Chapter Officers led by Mr. Erwin Bornillo, PSABE-PPG UEP Chapter President through the guidance of their Adviser and the Department Chair.

This activity gathered the students and faculty members to a festive program which highlights talents and fun activities that reflected the unity and spirit of the ABE community. The program, originally set at 8:00 AM, started at 9:40 AM with an opening remark from Engr. Rommel P. Noble, Chairman of the ABE Department, who warmly welcomed the Dean of the College of Engineering, the CoESC President, faculty members, and students. It was followed by Dr. Rem N. Laodeño, Dean of the College of Engineering, who emphasized in his message the legacy of ABE and its contributions to the College of Engineering and the entire university. Moreover, Ms. Leawen Jarito, the COESC President shared an inspirational message, encouraging students to stay dedicated and resilient in their studies.

On the other hand, intermission numbers from students and faculty added life to the program before it formally closed, leading to a series of fun games and activities. The games consist of ABE Quiz Bee, Pinoy Henyo, Message Relay, Paper Dance, and Bring Me, which kept the participants engaged and entertained until 3:00 PM.

Nevertheless, the department extends its heartfelt gratitude to the university administration through the visionary leadership of Dr. Cherry I. Utra and to Dr. Rem N. Laodeno, Dean of the Coege of Engineering, whose support to academic endeavors is unwavering. We are also indebted to our alumni who sponsored the said activity in the persons of Engr. Hector Ubas, Engr. Joshua M. Dela Cerna, Engr. Mary Rose Eulin, Engr. Eric Enciso, Engr. Conrad Li, Engr. Lester Torculas, Bayaw Reynald Tan and Bayaw Nieva Mae Monsanto whose generosity greatly contributed to the success of the celebration.

True to their promise of stewardship, ABE students and officers also worked hand in hand to restore the venue after the celebration. The post-celebration once again showed that ABE’s strength lies not only in its academic foundation but also in the shared experiences and the strong “BAYAW” connection that continues to bring its people together.
