ORMOC CITY — The National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) 2026 officially opened its much-anticipated National School Paper Exhibit on April 14 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at SM Center Ormoc.
Among the standout publications, The Meadows, the official school paper of Andarayan National High School, was recognized as one of the Best School Papers in the Philippines, marking a significant milestone in campus journalism excellence.
The national exhibit showcases a vibrant collection of award-winning student publications from across the country, highlighting the creativity, discipline, and journalistic prowess of young writers nationwide.
The exhibit is open to the public and NSPC delegates from April 14 to 16, offering visitors a closer look at the country’s finest school publications.

ANHS holds Parent-Teacher Conference and State of the School Address
SOLANA, CAGAYAN . March 17, 2026 Andarayan National High School successfully conducted its Fourth Quarter Parent-Teacher Conference cm State of the School Address on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the school gymnasium, bringing together parents, teachers, and stakeholders in a unified effort to support learners’ development.
With the theme, “Nurturing Excellence Through Partnership: Where Support Meets Success,” the activity emphasized the vital role of collaboration between the school and the community in achieving quality education.
Mrs. Ma. Lo**ta G. Tumaliuan, Head Teacher III, delivered the welcome remarks, setting a positive tone for the gathering.
Jennifer Lou B. Abuzo shared an inspiring “Thought for the Day,” while Robert B. Balagan conducted the checking of attendance among the participants.
A highlight of the event was the State of the School Address delivered by School Principal II, Carlo M. Caranguian. In his address, he presented updates on the school’s performance, ongoing programs, and future plans aimed at improving educational outcomes and school facilities.
In addition , the program also featured the Presentation of Accomplishment Reports, where key school organizations shared their achievements. Atty. John Michael M. Bassig, SSLG Adviser, presented updates on student leadership initiatives, while Elizabeth P. Ubiña reported on the accomplishments of the school paper. Marcos B. Adduru Jr., GPTA President, provided insights into the projects and contributions of the parents’ association.
An open forum followed, allowing parents and stakeholders to raise concerns, ask questions, and provide feedback. The activity concluded with an acknowledgment message delivered by Nilda Iringan, GPTA Vice President.
Moreover ,the successful conduct of the conference highlighted the school’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and strengthened partnership with parents and stakeholders in fostering a supportive learning environment for all students.
