Camia flowers are beautifully shaped white blooms, and boast deep green foliage. The stalks that the flowers grow on can reach up to about 4 feet. Camia also has a pleasantly fragrant scent, making it an appealing addition to your garden, or an attractive and aromatic centerpiece. Camia flowers, also known as white ginger, are sometimes combined with sampaguita flowers, a type of jasmine bloom, to make leis.

The camia flower grows in the Philippines and Hong Kong, and is often called the Philippine Camia.
Camias also grow in Brazil rather aggressively, and are seen as weeds. The bloom also thrives in Cuba, where it is the national flower and referred to as mariposa blanca, meaning “white butterfly.”
