The massive fuel price hikes due to the Middle East conflict are expected to continue next week.

Based on Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) trading in the past four days (March 30 to April 2), an oil industry source said that the retail diesel prices could increase by P17 to P19 per liter.

Batay sa pagtataya ng mga kumpanya ng langis, posible umanong umabot hanggang ₱13 kada litro ang itataas sa diesel—isang matinding dagdag na tiyak na mararamdaman ng lahat.

Hindi rin nakaligtas ang gasolina—mula sa inaasahang rollback, biglang baliktad ito sa taas-presyo na maaaring pumalo mula ₱0.50 hanggang ₱2.50 kada litro!

Samantala, sa kerosene, posibleng umabot sa ₱5 kada litro ang dagdag—panibagong dagok lalo na sa mga umaasa rito sa araw-araw.

Wala pa ring preno ang sunod-sunod na oil price hike, na sinisisi sa umiigting na tensyon sa Middle East at sa hirap ng suplay ng langis na dumadaan sa Strait of Hormuz.

BIG-TIME OIL PRICE HIKE

Bad news pa rin dahil may inaasahan na dagdag-presyo sa petrolyo sa Martes, March 31.

Sa estimate ng mga kumpanya ng langis, posibleng umabot sa ₱13 kada litro ang itaas sa Diesel.

Naudlot naman ang sanang rollback sa Gasolina dahil posibleng maglaro ang dagdag-presyo nito mula ₱0.50 hanggang ₱2.50 per liter.

Habang sa Kerosene, posibleng umabot din sa ₱5 kada litro ang itaas.

Ang walang prenong oil price hike ay bunsod pa rin ng sigalot sa Middle East kung saan pahirapan kumuha ng langis mula sa mga oil container na dumadaan sa Straight of Hormuz.

Motorists should brace for another round of double-digit pump price hike for diesel, which could push its price to nearly P150 per liter this week, still amid the global oil shock due to the Middle East conflict.

The price of an 11-kilogram LPG tank may also reach P1,500 this coming April, according to the LPG Marketers Association.

Motorists will have to tighten their belts anew as select retailers on Monday announced another round of hikes to mark the 12th straight week of increases for gasoline, and the 14th for both diesel and kerosene, as the conflict in the Middle East continues.
