Today, May 31, 2022, is also ๐พ๐๐๐๐

This day is celebrated to learn more about the intelligent and magnificent birds and let everyone know that these birds need protection in the wild as they face life threats like habitat loss and wildlife trades.
The population of several parrot species is declining due to several threats to the population and wellbeing of parrots. Some of the most significant threats include habitat loss, climate change, and wildlife trading. World Parrot Day offers a chance to highlight the threats that these stunning birds are facing.
This day can be celebrated in a variety of ways. You can plant trees since habitat loss is a major threat to parrot populations. You may also contribute to conservation efforts and encourage your friends and family not to keep any wild birds.

Celebrated every year on the last Wednesday of May (May 25th this year). This day was founded by the International Otter Survival Fund (IOSF). In 2009, it started as Otterly Mad Week and became International Otter Awareness Day in 2014. In 2016, the annual event evolved into World Otter Day. World Otter Day is observed to raise awareness about otters and their protection.

๐๐๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฌ:
๐ฆฆ Otters are found on every continent except Australia and Antarctica.
๐ฆฆ These mammals have the densest fur of any animal, with as many as a million hairs per square inch in places.
๐ฆฆ While most species live in freshwater rivers, lakes, and wetlands; the sea otter and the smaller marine otter are found in the Pacific Ocean.
๐ฆฆ Their webbed feet and powerful tails act like rudders in the water making them strong swimmers.
๐ฆฆ There are 13 species of this weasel, the smallest species small-clawed otter weighs 3kg, while the largest species giant otter weighs 45 kg.
๐ฆฆ When they are in the water, their nostrils and ears close to keep water out.
Their fur is waterproof and keeps them warm in cold water.
๐ฆฆ While most otter species come ashore to give birth, sea otters are an exception, giving birth in water.
๐ฆฆ When it is time to nap, sea otters entangle themselves in kelp or sometimes intertwine their feet with other sea otters so they donโt float away.
๐ฆฆ Did you know that all otters are expert hunters that eat fish, crustaceans, and other critters?
๐ฆฆ To open shellfish, sea otters float on their back and place a rock on their chest, then smash the mollusk down on it until it breaks open.

Observed every 23rd of May throughout the world since 2000, World Turtle Day is celebrated to bring attention to, and raise awareness of the conservation and protection of turtles and tortoises.
Turtles and tortoises are shelled creatures that can be found in virtually all corners of the globe and have found their way into parables, mythology and all forms of popular media. Both turtles and tortoises are creatures who play tremendous roles in their respective ecosystems. Whether itโs by digging holes that are habitable for other creatures or cleaning up dead fish from beaches, there are more than enough reasons to ensure their protection.
