This happened just today Apr. 23, 2026.
I was browsing and came across this site from Philippine Airlines offering Platinum Credit Cards. Looks legit because it has the brand logo. but when you click, it routes to another site to pay for your card activation that they can deliver within one business day. Out of curiosity, I went along with the process. And the final part that needs your card to be activated with a Php 299 fee.

It does not accept money wallets or prepaid accounts. Only Debit or Credit Cards with CVV. Since it's 299 Pesos, that's understandable for payment of delivery of card but To my surprise, it was a totally different amount in foreign currency and totally different product. So I googled the name (see screenshot) and it's from Zain Saudi Arabia, a major telecommunications company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with amount of SAR 1,150.

Saudi Riyal to Philippine Peso, that is a whooping 18, 529 pesos.
Wow! Not the 299 pesos you'd expect deducted or charged from your account.

SO BE CAREFUL GUYS!
