Swimmer’s ear isn’t just for swimmers 🌊

Otitis externa is an infection of the outer ear canal that usually happens when water gets trapped or you irritate your ear with cotton swabs. It can be painful, itchy, and annoying — but it’s preventable.

Quick tips to avoid it:
1. Dry your ears well after swimming or showering
2. Skip the cotton swabs and fingers in your ears
3. Use earplugs if you’re in the water a lot

If you have severe pain, discharge, or fever that doesn’t improve in 2-3 days, see a doctor.
