​We often look for a view, but sometimes the view is inward. The concept behind this piece is about the journey of every window—and the journey of us.
​We are all collections of scraps and moments. This artwork explores the beauty of putting those broken pieces back together. The different colorful woven fabrics represent the varied seasons of my life. The vibrant, bright hues stand for the moments of triumph, joy, and clarity, while the darker, earthier tones acknowledge the struggles and the quiet, grounding periods of growth. No two swatches are the same, just as no two days in this journey have been identical.
​The visible sewing of thread represents the work it takes to mend, to heal, and to become whole again. It connects the chaos of those different colors into one cohesive story.
​There is beauty in the stitching. There is strength in the mending.
