After 12 years, White-Gluz leaves the melodic death metal band to focus on her solo career and immediately releases her first single.
Melodic death metal giants Arch Enemy and vocalist Alissa White-Gluz have officially parted ways. Both the band and the singer announced the news separately on social media today, confirming the end of their 12-year collaboration.
In her statement, White-Gluz expressed gratitude to her fans: “After 12 years in Arch Enemy, we have parted ways. I am forever thankful to the thousands of amazing fans I have met along the way. Thank you, Beastlings!”
The departure immediately signals a new phase for White-Gluz, who simultaneously released her very first solo single, “The Room Where She Died,” co-written with guitarist Oliver Palotai. She confirmed that this single precedes a full solo album to be released soon.
“This upcoming album is diverse; and I love the idea of opening up this new chapter with this song and video, which I wrote the script for,” White-Gluz stated.
Arch Enemy issued a brief statement confirming the split: “We’re thankful for the time and music that we’ve shared and wish her all the best. Wherever there is an end, there is also a beginning. See you in 2026.”
White-Gluz joined the band in 2014, replacing Angela Gossow, and contributed vocals to four albums, most recently 2024's Blood Dynasty. Arch Enemy has not yet revealed who will replace her.

The iconic band played their first show in the U.K. since 2017 at The O2 Arena, performing a triumphant and unpredictable setlist after a seven-year absence.
Radiohead returned to the British stage for the first time in seven years, headlining The O2 Arena in London. Despite the UK music scene being dominated by major tours and rising stars in 2025, the return of the art-rock fivepiece, without new music to promote, proved to be an understated yet thrilling event.
The limited tour run, featuring major European cities, follows a period of relative inactivity since their last LP, A Moon Shaped Pool (2016). However, the band has remained highly relevant: earlier this year, their 1997 track “Let Down” went viral, landing on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time, and their Spotify listener count now surpasses that of giants like The Rolling Stones and The Beatles.
The decision to tour was sparked by bassist Colin Greenwood confirming the group had reconvened to rehearse their vast back catalog. The London show marked a rare chance for the band to look back at their discography, showcasing an unpredictable setlist with tracks spanning their career, including those from their 1997 opus OK Computer and their 2003 album Hail to The Thief. For this tour, the band is performing "in the round" for the first time. The current run of shows has been a triumph, solidifying that the fire still burns for Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, and the rest of the band.
