Nearly two years post open hip Arthoroscopy, bilateral schaphoid injuries and a linsfrac ligament injury...Annnd Allllll the rehab later.... mountains! π₯³πͺπͺ
In between all the poor nutrition...poor mental health....lots of takeaways from this!π€π€π³
Lots of technical bits to sort through...
But this felt mint and with everything feeling good...onwards and upwards!

How is everyone moving today??
I am having to build my strength up in my shoulders/back and laterals...believe it or not these muscles assist us on a daily basis!
Its that push/pull function...enabling us to carry our groceries, move that pot plant in the garden or move any object.
Every movement we use has a function..and as we age its super important to keep these muscles working!!
There is so much truth in..."if you don't use it you lose it"!! Its also important to work the "little" muscles...in order that our big muscles will work correctly πͺπͺπͺπͺ
So these isolated movements are going to enable me to get stronger...lift heavier...EMPOWERING me further!! EMPOWERING my body....BUILDING a stronger me!

Its been a long road from initial injury...to open hip surgery...rehab continuing...epidural steroid into L5-S1...more rehab π¬π¬
For anyone that's had an ongoing injury with no outcome for a long time...you will know what I mean when I say how much it effects you mentally! Its a definite mind screw!!
Which can make everything come crumbling down around you!
I went from training up to 2hrs a day ...to not doing anything every day but dwelling in a big black hole ...starting to emotional eat, negative thinking, pain becoming worse...endless and chronic for 18mths...weight gain made my mind worse because I would emotionally eat more..then feel bad at myself...it was a hamster wheel π³π
And then a friend suggested to me to try a drink..which i had tried 2yrs ago...and i loved!
So three weeks ago I starting drinking this thing called a ketone ..again π£π£π₯π₯π₯π₯
WOW.....to start with my mind started feeling like a sheet of glass....i started to feel more energetic...motivation started returning...i just started feeling better mentally...something I haven't felt in a long time!! Mental clarity is fabulous!
But the best bit is...i am 7kg down in weight!! And thats still with eating whole foods...but it kurbs cravings for krappy refined foods.
The first pic I was 83.3kg...just before my hip flared up 2yrs ago...just before my mind went off the rails...
The second pic on the left was three weeks ago.. then this morning!!
My focus is back!! Its been an enlightening few weeks, but my mind can deal now...ππ
