Here is a concept the Scope Architects team have recently completed in collaboration with .
On a site that has many challenging constraints we were tasked with creating a design that not only looks good but works well for the site while being cost effective to fit within a strict budget.
KAIPARA LAKE
The architectural simplicity of the roofline, combined with the earthy richness of the Lichen-coloured Colorsteel corrugated cladding, interacts harmoniously with the surrounding elements.

Structural steel has been incorporated into the design to enable expansive, over-height raking ceilings that enhance the sense of volume and openness throughout the internal living spaces and the west-facing outdoor entertaining deck.

With this white model render of a recent concept the Scope Architects team explored light, shadow and the simple rearrangement of materials to help provide a clearly defined entry threshold.
This perforated brick screen acts as a filter — softening daylight, framing views, and creating a rhythmic façade expression.
The screen introduces depth and texture to the otherwise minimal composition, revealing how passive design strategies can shape atmosphere, privacy, and spatial experience.

Scope Architects have recently completed the design of this stunning home in rural North-west Auckland. Construction is set to begin in the coming weeks by the May Builders team.
This fabulous house will blend seamlessly into its country surroundings with a clever use of colour and attention to detail; green corrugated metal with features of charred timber cladding provides a striking contrast.
