This is the other Ouija (Weegee) song referred to in my post about my other song "Look at Her PLay" - be interesting to see which one people prefer the most - this one a bit more laid back with more spooky elements...

Some of you may have noticed the news items about Spotity removing AI "slop" from its platforms, ie the millions upon millions of songs created that effectively have no real human input at all and fictitious artists. My music does not fit that category, yes of course my music is AI generated but the ideas, lyrics and time that I spend getting a result that tells a "real" story is the human factor in my creations. I make music that I enjoy listening to and share so that others can enjoy it too. It's just a hobby and a fun one at that 😄

So I did the song about the "Weegee (Ouija) Girl" and thought it might be fun to tweak the lyrics and make them a bit tighter and redo with a more poppy style as opposed to the slightly spooky rap/R&B that I originally used. Still the same story - the young woman operating the Ouija board to satisfy her own desires :-)

Past memories seem to be the thing for me of late and this song is a direct result - its about a girl I met as a teen living as an army brat in Linton Army Camp in the early 70's and we have been together since :-)

Well with it being the time of Matariki here in New Zealand I figured I would create a song in Te Reo Maori of our Matariki celebration. Needed a lot of AI help to get the language to work with my lyrics and lots of tweaks all round to try and get som**hing that is not too wordy but also lyrical and enjoyable, even learned a bit more of Te Reo :-) I chose to incorporate the star symbols of the Matariki logo as opposed to actual stars and note the 9 of them are not necessarily in their actual positions in the night sky - just representative.

Its interesting that even with so many years of life under one's belt you come across so many new things and this is an example - came across this tap on our travels and it was obviously a dripping tap and with the freezing temperatures overnight managed to build itself an ice pillar (stalagmite I guess) and during the sunny day it would melt and then repeat. So here is the song lol (Out of interest this is the actual tap and post in pic...)

This cool song came about as a total rewrite of my "Aubergine" song about a guy dealing with his m**h habit. I actually trashed most of the lyrics in the original as wanted a country/rock sound and som**hing much more upbeat. So basically the story is the guy had a girl named "Crystal" and sadly she has been replaced by the m**h form...

Smoke in a Glass This cool song came about as a total rewrite of my "Aubergine" song...

Being an Army brat of old and my early years at Waiouru brought this song to mind as just love the central/volcanic plateau in the centre of the North Island of New Zealand. Current memories have taken me back that place and the line from East to West that crosses it - somewhat melancholy, nostalgic as always pondering life and past circumstance...

Going through a phase of looking into myself, a bit of introspection and self-reflection over the past decades and thoughts come to mind such as the subject of this song. Really love the lyrics and how they establish the connection between this lovely photo past reality and the camera click - so cool :-) Hope you like it....
