We were excited to be gifted tickets by Slaughterhouse Productions for the preview night of UNCONSCIOUS at The Meteor. Here's a review from one of our volunteers about the show which runs 13-15 November.
UNCONSCIOUS by Nigel Slaughter is the type of play that makes your brain work overtime as you sit and try to put the pieces of the puzzle together over the 3 hour show with the 'a ha ' moment finally coming at the play's finale. If you are interested in the human brain then this will appeal to you.
The acting is excellent. My favourite has to be Eris played by Molly McGrath who is the 2nd most central character and has the personality you just love to hate and superbly plays her various roles. I chose not to read the programme until after the show and upon reading it, it helped to fill in the background. If you are the type of person who likes to work things out for yourself then read the programme once you exit the show and if you're not then grab a programme to get the backstory first.
Content warning: not suggested for people sensitive to swearing, mental health issues especially bipolar and schizophrenia and suicidal thoughts.
